No sneak attack like poor Jeff up there? This is just major BS no matter how you put it! These kinds of issues really make me hot so all of you in here forgive me, I would do the same for anyone in here! I was going to purchase your e-book and join WA through your website.

If it turns out that Squidoo has lost there marbles then I will follow you. I knew what it was before I found your website but they owe my loyalty to them because of YOU! Your integrity bleeds through in everything you post online. And on top of all of that your from the South. Recently a colleague told me her youtube accounts were deleted for no reason…… she could not get an answer. Her content was all good.

I believe it was some kind of mix up, which could possibly explain what has happened to your accounts aswell. Even if this is a misunderstanding, we can all learn something from this. Pat, You too! Rons last blog post.. I think that what has happened to you merely serves to lend more weight to the increasing demand for international regulation of the internet. Someone appears to be bearing some kind of personal grudge against you — it may just be jealosy, who knows.

Since the internet evolved some 30 years ago it has remained essentially unpoliced and unregulated — a thieves paradise — but the time has long since arrived, I think, for this wild west approach to be brought to an end.

One only has to take account of the multitude of abuses that occur daily to realise the need for a central arbiter — sites that show people how to make bombs, peole losing their accounts for no apparent reason, criminal gangs using the net to plan armed robberies, children being groomed in chat rooms, scammers earning millions through online fraud, etc. One could just go on and on and on. You have to be their best customer!

You can not regulate away scams and dirty dealing, they still exist even in prisons where inmates are under almost total control. In the real world it is still up to the individual to protect themselves by dealing with folks they know to be honorable, backing up their data, and diversifying their risks. There are sites on-line that do a good job of exposing scams.

There are many existing laws that thieves dance around and are arrested for breaking. There are thousands of organizations that police us already. Another layer of bureaucrats will not protect those that do not protect themselves. If this had been a real vendetta, it would have been found out and exposed. Perhaps Jennifer would have taken her data and led us to new sites — that was not required this time. We currently have freedom to select who we work with; and an effective, informal reputation based system for selecting on-line relationships.

What is subsidized increases — over protecting fools leads to more fools look at the highly regulated finance industry. With high regulation and central controls you can still be scammed, or assaulted; at school, in a paper or magazine, from your government, on a street corner, or at any juncture where you deal with fellow humans.

If you are wise and not greedy you can minimize your own risks; even working with lawyers, bureaucrats, or at an auto dealership. It is hard to believe, but prior to the last depression, America had hundreds of automobile producing companies. Regulation and taxes have destroyed quality, value, and choice — and still do not protect consumers. Regulators do not exist for the benefit of the regulated or their clients. Once created a regulatory body gains life, and exists to perpetuate itself and grow.

The already over regulated users of the internet, and our societies will function best in self regulating and adaptable relationships. Or; we can settle for evolving a controlled internet that has few options — like driving a Yugo till the next breakdown. It happily is your sandbox, you can erase this and send me away as you wish. I will not use Squidoo or other pages like it ever again. You even have to be very careful now when using the free sites just for getting a back link. My advice is to learn how to build your own sites and market them using the OWM strategy as it does work! Many of you have lost lots of hours of work and time trying to build something.

I have learned so much from Michelle. Lynn Terry and others have always recommended having your own sites that cannot be shut down. I keep a checklist of the plugins I use on them, etc. I can build one in my sleep now and can have it up and running with posts and pages on it within a day. I can work hours on my own sites and NEVER worry about being shut down after all my hard work is done. Anyway, I feel for everyone that had all their hard work go down the drain.

So if that's the case, I certainly would not be deleting those Hubs and moving them to your other account. I take it that the second account is your lenses from Squidoo. Right now, these accounts have a grace period. The grace period ends when you hit the edit button on each, lens, now hub. Since the first account does not have any hubs, but is 4 years old, I am not sure if you have to do the HP boot camp thing with 5 hubs that pass QAP before they are featured or not.

What you could do, once you have the squidoo content edited, formatted correctly, etc, you could make one of your accounts a niche account,with the other for miscellaneous hubs. And, if we find that people have multiple accounts only to boost the ratings and comments on their other lenses, or to engage in bad behaviour in regards to other lenses, that is ratings manipuation or worse and is against the spirit of Squidoo and our TOS.

Do you agree? Sometimes, we are forced to leave the site, other times we choose to not use the site. Regardless, we, the consumers, have the right and the power to choose which sites and which communities we participate in online. It stinks, but none of these sites OWE us an explanation for why they do or say what they do. I have the utmost respect for Seth reaching out and working with me to resolve this issue. However, I also feel a little guilty because I know that Squidoo handling ALL situations this same way is literally impossible.
