Winnipeg, Canada 31 contributions 16 helpful votes. Great getaway. We spent a few days at Elkhorn in late fall. The chalet we stayed in was clean and comfortable. A king-sized bed would have been nice. We used the hot tubs indoor and outdoor and had a great hike down to Clear Lake. We decided to leave one day early due to a pending snowstorm and were grateful that we were not charged for the final day. Some minor things were a bit disorganized though unclear instruction for using the fireplace, no towels at one entrance to the pool, no locks for the lockers Still we would definitely come back.

Can't wait to go back, no matter what season. RCI members tend to get put in the older chalets, but they are well-kept, very clean and have great views. Check in took a long time as they only had one staff member on! Should have had 2! Anytime during our stay if we needed anything - they responded very quickly and very kindly! Fantastic customer service.

Fell in love with their banana bread French toast when I was Since then we have made it up just about every year since. We would go up with my family and in-laws for the weekends. Once again we wanted to go up for our anniversary and I knew going up we would not be allowed in the pool area or restaurant we have chosen to not take this experimental VACCINE Unfortunately when I phoned down for breakfast they would not serve us room service.

And I could also not get take out. BUT I could go and get the buffet?? Of course I would not ever take it out on the staff they are just trying to make an honest living. Could someone please explain to me why I could not get take out but being unvaccinated I could go stand in line for the buffet?
